If you’re luckier than me, you have a room in your home that is completely devoted to storing all of your wine. If you are lucky enough to have such a room, there’s a good chance you either already have it temperature controlled, or want to have it temperature controlled. If you’re in the latter group, or really even in the former and just looking to upgrade, here are some wine storage cooling units worth looking at.

Breezaire

The Breezaire wine cellar cooling units range in price from around $650 to almost $1600. Designed to be nearly vibration free as well as running quietly, the line of Breezaire cooling units provide cool air to help maintain both temperature and humidity in your wine cellar, protecting both the wine and the labels and corks contained within, and can cool 2,000 cubic feet of space.

WhisperKOOL

The WhisperKOOL wine cellar cooling units can also cool down 2,000 cubic feet of space, and range in price from $1370 to $4240. Capable of handling temperature variances of 55 degrees, depending on the model, these cooling systems are ideal for maintaining wine integrity no matter the external temperature.

CellarPro

Top notch design and technology combine in the CellarPro cooling units. Ranging in price from $950 to $3200, the CellarPro line of wine cellar cooling units are popular as replacement units as they are built to the same dimensions as many of the popular cooling units and have flexible mounting and exhaust systems. Each unit also comes with a digital control panel for precise temperature management.

Wine Guardian

Capable of cooling space up to 5500 cubic feet, the Wine Guardian line of cooling units range in price from $2400 all the way up to $6000. The most installation friendly units on the market, the Wine Guardian units are self contained and require no external piping for installation. For those in dryer climates, Wine Guardian units come with the option to add a humidifier or heating coil to your cooling unit to maintain proper temperature and humidity in your wine cellar.

Koolspace KoolR

Ranging from $500 to $1000, the Koolspace Koolr units (previously known as ChillR) sense the temperature in your wine cellar and adjust the temperature to maintain your settings for both temperature and humidity, taking away the need to constantly check on your settings. Featuring superior energy efficiency, are compact and perfect for smaller wine cellars.

No matter your budget or cellar size, one of these cooling units is sure to fit your needs and help you preserve your wine. When you’re ready to get a cooling unit, check out one or all of these I’m sure you’ll find one that fits exactly what you need.

If you’ve looked through my site, you’ll see that I’ve talked about whether or not it matters what type of glass you use. While I’ll never advocate spending huge amounts of money on wine glasses just for the sake of doing it, there is something to be said for having different wine glasses for your varying types of wine.

With so many different types of wine glasses out there, it can be confusing to decide which ones are right for you and your needs, both for the type of glasses and to fit your budget. Thankfully, Riedel is here to help you.

Riedel wine glasses come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and price points, and that’s great because it means no matter what you need, they have something for you. If you’re looking for some basic white and red wine glasses – they have that for you. If you’re in the market for some more elaborate glasses that will suit specific wine varietals such as Pinot Noir and Cabernet, well they have those too.

What’s nice about Riedel is that they’ve taken a lot of the guess work out of selecting wine glasses by designating exactly what each of their wine glasses should be used for. Featuring wine glasses designed for specific varietals and for different occasions (there will come a time when you want a top-quality stemless wine glass), Riedel has managed to put together one of the most complete selections of stemware anywhere.

What I like most about Riedel stemware is that it’s eyecatching. I know having your stemware look good doesn’t mean that it makes the wine any better, but wine glasses can be as much a fixture of your home bar as anything else, and having attractive wine glasses that function well too is never a bad thing.

No matter your needs, there’s no reason to not at least consider Riedel wine glasses for your stemware needs. Whether you need a few glasses or are looking to replace your entire stemware selection, they’ll have something to fit your style and budget.
